Resilience first
Sustainability starts with a strong plant. In our greenhouse, we provide a stable climate and the right nutrition, so the plant becomes resilient from within. Think of it as an extra thick coat: when the foundation is solid, the medicine cabinet stays closed more often. We naturally tackle pests with beneficial insects, such as predatory mites that eat thrips and spider mites. For pollination, we use bees, ensuring good fruit set and large, beautiful fruit.
Water in circulation
We use water and nutrients as efficiently as possible. What the plant does not absorb, we capture and reuse. This recirculation prevents fertilizers from entering surface water. We filter, measure, and adjust pH and EC, ensuring that each channel receives the right mix. The substrate in the channels also gets a second round: we reuse it instead of discarding it. This way, we keep resources in circulation without compromising plant health or flavor. Every drop counts. Together we grow.
Energy and housing
Sustainability for us also means people. Our new accommodation buildings are gas-free. We heat with underfloor heating using residual heat from the coolers, recovered via a heat exchanger. With solar panels and batteries, we are making strides towards self-sufficient operations. We keep the greenhouse and its surroundings clean, safe, and organized.
